XMLTV EPG checker
Check what your programme guide really contains before loading it into the player: how many channels and programmes it has, which days it covers, which channels are empty, which languages it comes in and whether its times carry a time zone. Everything is processed in your own browser: the guide is never uploaded to any server.

Frequently asked questions
Is my guide uploaded to any server?
No. Whether you paste a URL or upload the file, the download and the analysis happen in your browser with JavaScript. The content never passes through any Kraid server and is not stored.
I get an error when downloading the URL, why?
Most EPG servers do not allow a web page on another domain to download their files (the browser's CORS policy). It is not a fault of the tool or of your guide: open the URL in a new tab, save the file (Ctrl+S) and upload it here with the button or by dragging it in.
What does it mean that the timestamps have no time zone?
In XMLTV every programme carries a time with an offset, for example 20260904200000 +0200. If the provider omits the offset, each player interprets the time as best it can (UTC or local) and the guide shows up several hours early or late. If that happens to you, adjust the EPG offset in your player or ask the provider to fix it.
Why do some channels show no programmes?
The file declares the channel in the <channel> section but includes no <programme> entry for it. It is common in large guides: the provider lists channels it does not actually cover. In the player you will see the channel, but with an empty guide.
Does it work with .gz files?
Yes. .xml.gz files are decompressed in your browser with the pako library before analysis, without uploading anything anywhere. Very large guides (hundreds of MB decompressed) may take a few seconds.
