Samsung Tizen · LG webOS

Native app finished — in TV store review

Kraid is coming to your Smart TV

A native app for Samsung Tizen and LG webOS — no stick, no console, no extra box. Full EPG guide, 4K HEVC playback, favourites and recording, driven entirely from your TV remote. It is built and tested on real televisions and currently going through the store review. Kraid includes no content: it plays your own M3U playlists and Xtream Codes accounts.

One licence, 3 devices. Buy now for your phone or PC and the TV app activates with the same key — at no extra cost.

Available today

Your Samsung or LG can run Kraid right now

Every Samsung and LG television has HDMI ports, and that is all Kraid needs today. Plug in a streaming device you may already own and you get the full experience — the same app, the same licence, the same favourites synced with your phone and PC.

Fire TV Stick

The cheapest route, and the most common. Install the free Downloader app, allow unknown sources and enter our short code — the whole thing takes about five minutes.

Where we are

Honest status of the TV apps

Television manufacturers review every app by hand, and it takes weeks. Here is exactly where Kraid stands — no vague “coming soon”.

Native apps built

A native Tizen package for Samsung and a native webOS package for LG — not a web wrapper. Same interface and features as on Android, Fire TV and PC.

Tested on a real television

Developed and debugged against a real LG OLED panel, including full remote-control navigation, EPG, favourites and 4K HEVC playback.

LG Content Store — in review

Submitted to LG and progressing through their QA rounds: technical pre-test, functional test and content test.

In progress

Samsung Apps — preparing submission

The Tizen build is complete; we are finalising the commercial signing and seller account required before Samsung accepts a submission.

Next

Published on your TV

Once approved, Kraid appears in the LG Content Store and Samsung Apps, and installs like any other TV app. Your existing licence activates it.

What you'll get

Built for a remote, not squeezed onto a TV

The Smart TV app is designed around the D-pad from the start: bigger type, clear focus, and no menu you cannot reach with four arrows and OK.

Full EPG guide

What's on now and next, laid out for a ten-foot screen, with reminders you can set straight from the guide.

4K

4K HEVC playback

Hardware H.264 and H.265 decoding with AAC, MP3, AC3 and EAC3 audio, using your television's own decoder.

Favourites on every screen

Mark a favourite on your phone and find it waiting at the top on the TV. One licence keeps all three in step.

Recording and catch-up

Record what you're watching or schedule from the guide, and rewind the guide when your provider supports catch-up.

Basic and Advanced settings

Opens in Basic — four choices, nothing to break. Advanced adds buffer, format and network controls when you want them.

Parental control

Set a PIN and choose exactly which categories disappear behind it. Peace of mind on the family television.

Smart TV FAQ

Common questions

Can I install Kraid on my Samsung or LG Smart TV right now?

Not yet from the TV stores. The native Samsung Tizen and LG webOS apps are finished and tested on real televisions, and they are currently going through the store review process. Until they are approved, the recommended way to watch on a Samsung or LG is an Fire TV Stick or an Android TV box plugged into the TV — it is the same Kraid app, with the same licence.

Will the Smart TV app cost extra?

No. Your Kraid licence covers up to 3 devices on any supported platform. If you buy today for your phone or PC, the Samsung or LG app will activate with the same key at no extra cost when it arrives.

Which Samsung and LG models will be supported?

The app targets Samsung Tizen and LG webOS televisions with 1920×1080 or higher panels, using the HTTP/HLS player with H.264 and H.265 decoding and AAC, MP3, AC3 and EAC3 audio. It has been developed and tested against a real LG OLED panel.

Why does an IPTV app take so long to reach a TV store?

TV manufacturers review every app by hand, and the process takes weeks: a technical pre-test, a functional test and a content test, each of which can send the app back for changes. Kraid is a player with no content of its own, which we document at every step of the review.

Will multi-view work on my Smart TV?

No, and that is deliberate. Multi-view opens up to four simultaneous decoders, which Samsung and LG panels do not guarantee. It is available on Windows PC and on Android instead, where the hardware can be relied on.

How will I know when it launches?

Write to soporte@kraidiptv.com with “Smart TV” in the subject and we will email you the moment the app is live. No newsletter, no marketing — one message, then we leave you alone.
